A. ENTITY DESCRIPTION

AERNNOVA AEROSPACE (ANN): Aernnova is a World-Class Supplier of Integrated Aerostructures, Components, and Engineering Services. It is a 100% Private Company, key business figures are 740 M€ Revenues, 5,000 Employees in 8 Countries (Spain, Portugal, UK, Mexico, Brazil, USA, China & Rumania) with 17 Locations and involved in more than 30 aeronautical programs. Aernnova can take full responsibility for the complete life cycle of an Aerospace Industrial Program: From Conceptual & Detail Design, Testing, Certification, Prototyping, and Manufacturing to Product and In-Service Support.
Aernnova has extensive experience and best-in-class composite structure capacities and capabilities and One-Stop-Shop from Raw Metallic Material to Manufacturing and Final Processing.
Aernnova has very strong capacities and capabilities in new complex product development, manufacturing engineering, and aftermarket support, especially for complex composite structures. Aernnova holds a wide portfolio of Aerospace Certifications and Approvals from Airworthiness Authorities.
 

 

B. ROLE IN THE HERFUSE PROJECT

AERNNOVA’s AEROSPACE (ANN)  
ANN will lead the Aernnova participation in the project being its representative in the main governing boards. Besides Aernnova experts in composite manufacturing will provide their expertise for manufacturing process and material definition. More specifically:

  1. Aernnova current engagement in HERA in sustainable manufacturing and digitalization, will serve as one of the supports to achieve a more optimized design solution for the Vertical Tail Plane to fuselage joining. 
  2. One of the main drivers of intended Aernnova´s innovative composite solution will be based on thermoset composite materials to provide an outcome of airframe weight reduction, mechanical performance, and sustainability. 
  3. Aernnova will also contribute to the final sizing and the Digital Mockup 3D models of the composite joint structure of empennages to the fuselage.

AERNNOVA ENGINEERING DIVISION (AED)

AED participation in HERFUSE will be focused on VTP to fuselage fittings design optimization. An innovative composite solution based on thermoset materials will be proposed to meet the fixed requirements. The structural dimensions together with the material combinations will be evaluated and the optimal design solution defined. The main drivers will be put on weight reduction alternatives and sustainability solutions.
