A. ENTITY DESCRIPTION 

IDECO is a research center that specializes in industrial production and manufacturing technologies, and we are integrated into the BRTA, Basque Research & Technology Alliance, an agreement between 16 technology centers and cooperative research centers belonging to the Basque Network of Science, Technology, and Innovation, the Basque Government, the Councils of Araba, Bizkaia, and Gipuzkoa and the SPRI Group.

Our activity covers the identification and analysis of opportunities, the design and development of products, business lines, and production processes, and the resolution of problems through the provision of technological services such as technical consultancy and equipment-based services.

We are known for the scientific excellence developed in our 4 research groups which are aimed at advancing our specialisation. Our organisational model encourages interdisciplinary work and we take special care in the qualification and professional development of our staff. We have the most up-to-date facilities and equipment and we are committed to collaborative work through the establishment of a wide range of contacts with leading centers at an international level.

B. ROLE IN THE HERFUSE PROJECT

IDEKO is bringing its manufacturing technologies to HERFUSE, in particular, the automatic lamination of multiaxial carbon fabrics with ADMP, and the know-how on Liquid Resin Infusion (LRI) to manufacture highly integrated structures. In herfuse, Ideko’s going to manufacture an integral lateral panel of the fuselage, as well as a thermoset flat lateral panel.
